Models
There are 4 different Frost Protek™ models. In general, use Medium or Large round models for wider pots/plants. Use the Bag model for taller pots/plants and hanging baskets. Use the flat sheet for row crops, small shrubs, and more.

• Medium The Medium cover is the smallest model. Its round shape covers typical plantings in a standard size pot, or covers a grouping of smaller pots. It typically fits pots up to 14" in height. Drawstrings pull the cover tight around the base of the plant or pot and cord locks keep the cover in place. The maximum height of the cover is 32". The drawstring opening is 56" wide (112" circumference).
• Large The Large cover is a larger version of the Medium cover. It covers plantings in larger containers and barrels, or covers a grouping of pots. Drawstrings pull the cover tight around the base of the plant or pot and cord locks keep the cover in place. The maximum height of the cover is 42". The drawstring opening is 56" wide (112" circumference).
• Bag The Bag cover is a rectangle shape. It is 55" wide and 48" high. It's designed for hanging baskets and for upright plants like tomatoes. Drawstrings pull the cover tight around the plant and cord locks keep the cover in place. The Bag has straps which are placed on the hanging basket hook to keep the Bag in place while you use both hands to tuck in the plant and pull the drawstrings.
• Flat Sheet The Flat Sheet is a rectangle 5' x 10', and does not have a drawstring. Use it to protect row crops, other in-ground plantings, small shrubs, trellises, small trees, and more.

Colors
The Medium, Large, and Bag models are available in either white or light sage green fabric. The Flat Sheet is available only in light sage green. The fabric for all models is the same except for the color. Choose the color that you like best in your environment.

Fabric
The fabric for all models is the same except for the color. The fabric is 100% polypropylene, which is the same fabric used by professional growers for frost protection. The fabric is lightweight and doesn't crush plants. The fabric is breathable and enables the plant to receive the air it needs. Light penetrates through the fabric to the plant . The fabric weight is 0.9 oz. per square yard (metric 30 grams per square meter). The cover protects from 4 degrees to 6 degrees below freezing, or about 28 to 26 degrees Fahrenheit (-3.0 degrees Celsius).

Shipping is from Colorado via U. S. Post Office. Expect delivery in 7 to 10 business days. Shipping and handling charges are $6.95.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How long can the covers be left on plants?
   A: Covers may be left on for days at a time as long as the daytime temperature is not too hot. There is not a specific temperature which is "too hot" - just that the plant does not "cook" during a hot, sunny day. We know of many customers who have left the cover on for two weeks or so during a cold spell without any harm to the plants. The fabric is lightweight and breathable so it does not harm the plants.
2. Can the cover be left on plants during the day?
   A: Yes. Covers may be left on for days at a time if desired and the daytime temperature is not too hot. There is not a specific temperature which is "too hot" - just that the plant does not "cook" during a hot, sunny day. We know of many customers who have left the cover on for two weeks or more during a cold spell without any harm to the plants.
3. Can the cover be washed?
   A: Yes, the cover may be washed in a washing machine. DO NOT put it in a dryer; let it air dry.
4. How long will the cover last?
   A: With normal use and care, the cover should last for several years.

How To Use
The cover is very quick and easy. It goes on and off in seconds.

For the Medium and Large covers:

1. Drape the cover over the plant.
2. Tighten the drawstrings and hold them tight with the cord locks.

Our warranty covers defects in workmanship or material for one year from date of purchase. We will repair or replace defective merchandise.
